Serves as the lead in center-wide programming, marketing and brand alignment for the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success. Initiates, executes, assesses and oversees all campaigns, marketing and communication strategies for the department. Generates concepts for improved marketing strategies. Oversees the coordination and execution of major center-wide programs. Assists CELCS in effectively telling its story to all audiences. Provides career coaching, programming, and support to students and alumni in the humanities (and/or assigned career industry areas). Provides leadership to staff, including supervision of graduate and undergraduate student assistants. Participates in the planning and development of Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success policies and procedures.

STUDENT COACHING & ADVISING
Provides career-related coaching and advising to students and recent alumni in the humanities, pre-law, and/or for other assigned fields. Provides graduate, law, and other program application support. Actively participates in and/or leads office-wide services for students and alumni to include workshops, presentations, appointments and drop-in hours. Initiates, develops, executes, and assesses career, graduate, and recruiting related events, programs, and workshops specific to humanities, pre-law, and/or other assigned areas. Reviews and approves resumes uploaded to CMS. Identifies and markets relevant employment, professional development, research, and/or engagement opportunities to students, faculty, and staff.; develops and executes programs and workshops specific to assigned industry areas; Tracks student, faculty, employer, and alumni interactions; establishes and develops relationships with faculty, employers, student organizations, professional organizations, and other stakeholders within assigned industry areas. Provides guidance to students/alumni on LinkedIn profile development; serves as LinkedIn subject matter expert for Center and ensures team is up to date on best practice, emerging trends, and platform changes. Conducts outreach to new employer partners and actively maintains employer relationships relevant to assigned career industry areas. Assists in the formulation, collection, and assessment of learning outcomes.
MARKETING
Serves as the Center’s lead in the development and administration of all marketing and branding initiatives covering the Center’s focus area: undergraduate research, service learning, community and civic engagement, career development, recruiting, and workforce development. Initiates, designs, oversees, executes and assesses marketing and communication plans, campaigns, calendars and content for CELCS to ensure consistent brand messaging and brand awareness. Serves as the lead organizer and project manager for large scale career fairs and other major events. Develops, tracks and measures marketing goals and objectives. Manages online social media presence, digital campaigns and all related strategies to include the department website and social media forums. Develops generalized and specialized marketing and resource content for a variety of stakeholders. Collaborates with CELCS staff to develop and deliver content as needed for all CELCS functional areas. Collaborates with Strategic Communications and Marketing division to deliver messages and create marketing products in alignment with the institutional brand and identify new opportunities to market and promote CELCS stories to stakeholders and audiences. Collaborates with staff and outside vendors to develop marketing materials, promotional items and campaigns for programs, initiatives, resources and events. Designs, initiates, oversees, coordinates and/or collaborates on center-wide and large-scale programs and workshops (e.g. career fair, etiquette events, interview preparation event/s, open house/s). Assists with the visualization of relevant data to help tell the Center’s story to key stakeholders (e.g. annual reports). Develops, delivers and assesses efficacy of strategic marketing plans and learning outcomes for each. Assists in the formulation, collection and assessment of learning outcomes. Collects, assesses and analyzes data related to programming. Oversees event logistics (e.g. room requests, catering orders, etc.). Works collaboratively with staff to initiate and execute effective marketing campaigns related to CELCS operations, resources, and initiatives. Continually researches best practices to ensure all marketing and branding initiatives are maximized, developing Center-wide processes, training, and updates.
LEADERSHIP & OPERATIONS
Identifies direction and strategy, delegation, and ensures the execution of strategy and deliverables for position-related areas and projects. Serves in a leadership capacity to CELCS staff related to career programming and marketing, to include developing and providing training, mentoring and supervision. Hires, supervises, and evaluates performance for student, graduate, and other staff as assigned, including 1-2 marketing assistants. In coordination with director, develops Center-wide policies, procedures, processes, and implementation of timelines for relevant projects and initiatives. Serves as project manager for a number of key initiatives and events, and the main point of CELCS contact for Asana. Manages CELCS LinkedIn page. Assists with wider CELCS student training and supervision as needed. Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies. Serves on a CELCS workgroup, to include scheduling and leading meetings

EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in marketing, business, counseling, communication, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Strongly Preferred:
Master's degree or equivalent in higher education, counseling, student affairs or a related field from an accredited institution.
Formalized training in marketing, marketing data analysis, branding or social media.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
3 years of work experience in career services, student/academic affairs, higher education, marketing or related field.
Direct experience with program planning and/or marketing.
Experience with web technologies (e.g. online tools and social media).
Experience developing and executing marketing plans.
Preferred:
5 years of full-time, related work experience in career advising, programming, or marketing.
Experience working in higher education or interfacing with employers/nonprofits.
Experience developing brand content.
Experience developing and assessing strategic marketing plans.
Experience developing and delivering training workshops and/or presentations.
Demonstrable experience with marketing campaigns.
Experience in assisting individuals with career planning and preparation is highly desired.
