WOW! Events is looking for a hard working intern/assistant to assist our team.
We are a growing Orange County event production company specializing in corporate, private client and high school events. We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Assistant Intern. You are ideally an individual who is a highly proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills, a passion for marketing, has experience working in the hospitality industry, is skilled in social media presence building, and possesses impeccable writing and verbal skills. Ideally you are someone who can assist in research, creative brainstorming, proposal creation, writing, blogging, and social media influencer connectivity, and has experience in increasing targeted followers. A background in hospitality/event industry is greatly preferred. Our mission at WOW! Events is to create extraordinary experiences every day!
Main tasks: - Data Entry - Call prospective customers for lead generation - Update social media - Assist in creating content for digital marketing platforms - Support the team in daily administrative tasks - Stay up to date with current events and social media trends - Help organize events
Must Have: - Positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude - Flexible, multi-tasker, fast learner and willing to adapt to project priority change - Able to thrive in deadline-driven situations - Takes direction well, and follows instructions - Desire to Learn - Dependability - Computer Literacy - Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (excel, power point & word) - Verbal and written communication skills - Must possess graphic design capabilities - Comfortable and RESPONSIBLE working independently and also able to function as part of a team. - Extremely organized and detail oriented in handling tasks - Must have a thick skin and a no job too small attitude. - Must have a Driver’s License and a car

- GPA of 3.0 or higher - College Junior or Senior or Grad Student - Must have or are completing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. - Must be able to work a minimum of 15-20 hours, 3-4 days a week with a 3.5-4 month commitment. We can work within your class or work schedule if enrolled in school. - 1 year of marketing experience or previous Marketing/PR internship of at least 6 months. - Fluent English - Driver's License
