Assistant Director, Graduate Marketing and Recruiting

Posting Summary: The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia is seeking an Assistant Director of Graduate Marketing & Recruiting. The Assistant Director will have responsibility for marketing and recruiting for one or more graduate commerce program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and attending recruitment events; developing and executing effective marketing communications; cultivating relationships with top-ranked undergraduate programs in liberal arts, sciences or engineering for the M.S. in Commerce program and with top undergraduate business programs for the M.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Global Commerce; effectively leverage current students and alumni in the recruitment process; and manage graduate assistants. Duties also include assisting in marketing and communication plans across digital, social and traditional media to generate new leads. Must be available to travel (roughly 40% during the recruiting season) and be available to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed for recruiting events. Required Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Required Required Specific Degree/Training: bachelor's degree in related field Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Preferred Preferred Specific Degree/Training: master's degree in higher education, business, or related field preferred Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years Required Specific Experience: must have experience in college admissions, recruitment, or services marketing Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate well to the career and educational needs of college students particularly those in the liberal arts/science/or engineering disciplines. Ability to work independently and with a team, strong organizational and budgeting skills, technology proficiency, outstanding customer service, and commitment to diversity are essential. Incumbent must be flexible to travel throughout the U.S. and to work occasional evenings and Saturdays as necessary for recruitment events.
