UW Medicine's Strategic Marketing and Communications has an outstanding opportunity for a Digital and Email Marketing Specialist.
The UW Medicine Digital and Email Marketing Specialist will utilize content marketing best practices to systematically deliver consumer engagement through email marketing, social media ads, and paid search to the right consumers on the right channels at the right time, to grow the UW Medicine brand. The candidate must be well-versed in the measurement of both offline and digital content (including email marketing, web content, social media, and earned media). A user-centric approach to content is critical in this role.
Define and develop the email marketing program, as well as paid search including best practices, process, workflow and optimization
Apply strategic thinking to determine the right placement channels for consumer engagement and/or marketing content, thinking of natural connections to the UW Medicine brand
Work with marketing managers on email marketing strategy including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing and opt-in list growth
Develop conversion strategies for landing pages and implement them throughout your campaigns
Evaluate performance data to continually improve the impact of marketing efforts
Measure the impact and ROI of content marketing efforts across offline and digital environments
Define and develop A/B testing standards for all digital content
Work closely with cross-functional teams (editorial, marketing, creative, analytics, SEO, media relations and outreach) to optimize content, communications and conversions
Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to gain insight into trending behaviors and sentiments to develop or enhance marketing strategies
Manage project schedules, resource allocations, project scopes and budgets
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science or related field.
3-5 years of work or educational experience in digital marketing execution
Experience working with and passions for content, email marketing, journey mapping, personas, integrated marketing campaigns, social media, paid search, and analytics
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments, with minimal supervision
Ability to present concepts to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Ability to analyze and define success of content marketing, including metrics such as reach, key performance indicators, and engagement
Experience with email marketing database management
Hands-on experience setting up and managing paid search and social media ads
A/B testing experience.
Keen attention-to-detail on copy, design, messaging, style and brand.
Excellent copy writing and editing skills.
Experience working with analytics products including Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Bing Ads.
Experience with Exact Target, Marketo or other email and marketing automation platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow processes, multi-task, and juggle competing priorities, while executing content marketing and email marketing projects on tight timelines.
