Purpose of Position:
There are 3 open Marketing Manager positions – one for each of the following areas: Executive Education, MS, and MBA programs.
The Carey Business School is increasing its investment in the Executive Education, MS, and MBA programs offerings, the marketing effort and the support staff to accelerate the growth and to seize the market opportunities. Marketing is a very important component of this strategy.
The Marketing Managers will have strong and direct relationships with the Admissions, Academic Programs, Executive Education and Student departments and be the day-to-day contact for their respective agency.
The Marketing Managers, reporting to the Director of Integrated and Digital Marketing, will lead the marketing and promotion efforts for the assigned Carey’s program. In close coordination with other marketing and communications staff, s/he will lead the marketing plan and execution, the agency relationships and media plan across the span of both traditional and digital media, the website messaging, the marketing ROI and will advance the relevant market research. S/he will be a champion for assigned programs and will ensure all relevant partners are fully aware of all marketing plans.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
For Carey’s Execution Education Program / Non-degree and Certificate Programs:
Lead the day-to-day creation and management of marketing plans, media, web, public relations and marketing agencies by working with the broader marketing and communications department
Lead all acquisition and retention marketing efforts across all traditional and digital mediums
Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans including leading the media planning and buying efforts with an external agency across all digital, traditional, events, partnership marketing tools
Lead engagement / relationship management strategies, leveraging direct marketing tools (e.g., email/Sales force and other CRM tools) to drive results
Utilize and optimize SEO/SEM, email campaigns, user experience, digital advertising, promotions, and social media, etc. to build brand/program awareness, generate leads and engagement with participants
Measure and analyze campaign data and make adjustments to continue to drive ROI
Drive implementation of best practices through all paid/unpaid channels
Manage forecasts and budgeting marketing budget
Organize promotional events as needed and ensure prompt delivery of materials and merchandise
Develop creative briefs to ensure all marketing materials and program messaging are created and accurate
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing activities (e.g. website, emails, social media, events, flyers, etc.)
Lead the website strategy and needs including management of associated vendor(s)
Fully understand competitive landscape, monitor, report and provide marketing insights
Analyze marketing plan and performance using KPI’s, ROI analysis and apply learning in new planning
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
