The Design Coordinator serves asa print and digital designer for The University of Tennessee Health ScienceCenter (UTHSC). The position works to maintain UTHSC's brand standards, andprovides designs that are consistent in style across the various colleges anddepartments. This position works with the colleges and departments on campus,Communications and Marketing team members, and vendors to design, layout, andcoordinate the production of print and digital marketing materials.
Designs and lays-out a variety of marketing materials for UTHSC, such as brochures, postcards, invitations, ads, flyers, web graphics, social media graphics, promotional products, etc.
Participates in brainstorming and strategy sessions with Communications and Marketing staff and UTHSC clients.
Implements graphic standards and identity guidelines when developing new graphic approaches in support of UTHSC marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Assesses and responds to the needs of assigned clients and identifies, recommends, and develops creative approaches to meeting client goals.
Collaborates with the UT Licensing to effectively and accurately brand, and approves branding for, various promotional products for UTHSC.
