INTEGRATED MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY
The Medill School at Northwestern University, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) beginning in the 2018–2019 academic year. The rank of the position can be at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level. The application deadline is March 21, 2018.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be near completion of a doctoral degree in advertising, marketing, communications or a related field. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarly research focuses on marketing communications strategy, advertising and/or public relations in digital environments. Candidates should be able to address managerial problems from a strategic point of view and have a good understanding of how technological changes such as media automation affect consumer-firm relationships. Medill is a professional school, and thus it is critical that the successful candidate be able to integrate theory and professional practice, and that research is actionable by the professions. Candidates should show evidence of being able to publish research in top-tier journals and teach at a level consistent with Northwestern’s high standards.
The IMC department fosters an environment that is intellectually stimulating and interdisciplinary. We are therefore interested in candidates who can interact effectively and are open to research collaborations with other faculty. The Medill School provides ample support and opportunities for faculty to be successful in their chosen fields.
The position will begin September 2018-2019. To ensure full consideration, applications must be received no later than March 21, 2018.
