Under the direction of the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing plans and implementing and evaluating the athletic department’s marketing, promotion and fan engagement strategies; enhancing revenue through the implementation of ticket sales plans; enhancing fan engagement through community and statewide outreach events; building relationships with campus and community leaders; building a culture of inclusiveness at athletic events that makes fans feel welcome and involved; and managing athletic marketing assistant, athletic marketing graduate assistant, and both paid and unpaid interns working within the athletic department.
5 years of marketing experience in an intercollegiate athletic setting
Ability to effectively communicate through written, oral, and electronic forms
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
Experience with digital platforms including social media, websites and video production
Ability to develop and initiate unique ideas
Ability to work independently with multiple deadline driven projects
Working knowledge of budget preparation and analysis
Master’s degree in marketing, sport management, or other related field
Experience working with coaches, staff and administration at the intercollegiate Division I level
Experience with directing in-game programming including development of PA script, music, videoboard/digital display utilization, sponsorship fulfillment and other fan engagement elements
