The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and clerical support to facilitate fundraising, marketing, and communications operations for the IU School of Nursing (IUSON).
This includes: Support for departmental management functions, support of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities, support of marketing and communication strategies, working with vendors to facilitate the details for fundraising events and marketing activities, database management, and print and electronic distribution of marketing and communications materials. Manage donor acknowledgment process that involves producing letters, researching confidential giving histories, preparing responses and coordinating with the dean's office for signing, distribution, and stewardship. Support development, marketing, and communication office operations. Assist Director of Development with activities in support of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. Assist marketing and communication activities in support of promoting the school and meeting its strategic priorities.
REQUIRED: High School Diploma, plus 3 years' relevant experience.
Proficiency using database programs, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-communication distribution system, and design software programs. Knowledge of basic navigation in web/internet based applications. Very strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, dependable, able to work with confidential information, strong verbal and written communication skills, proper grammar skills, creativity, ability to draft correspondence and produce fliers, proofreading, reasoning ability, math reasoning, ability to work both independently and with groups of people internal and external to the university. Effective time management, prioritizing, and problem solving. Person must be highly flexible and able to work for multiple people.
Knowledge of University Administrative Systems (time keeping, data extraction, travel, report writing, purchasing), university donor management systems, and knowledge of university policies and procedures. Donor management experience.
