The American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) is seeking an Industry Relations Coordinator to facilitate exhibit sales and logistics, sponsorship sales, and advertising sales as well as other industry-related activities. We’re looking for someone highly motivated and focused, with organizational and project management skills and keen attention to detail. This is the perfect position for someone looking to expand their experience in corporate partnerships space and onsite logistics for exhibits.
This position requires availability to travel overnight with occasional weekends, up to 20% travel. Travel to the week-long ASBrS annual conference is required.
Basic Function of the Position
To assist the ASBrS industry relations team by providing sales support, reporting, assistance with prospecting and strategic planning, and any other administrative support function required by the team. This is not a cold-calling job.
This position works closely with the Strategic Partnerships Manager to support the overall corporate partnership plan for ASBrS, including administrative support, selling event-related exhibit space, sponsorship opportunities and digital advertisements; identifying and pursuing new sales prospects and building and developing new sponsorships. The assistant will also develop and implement strategies to grow and promote these programs.
Sell exhibit space and cultivate good relationships with sponsors and exhibitors.
Maintain exhibitor database; manage all aspects of exhibitor administration and logistics.
Coordinate exhibitor prospectus and email marketing related to sponsors and exhibitors.
Work with association team members, exhibition management, venue personnel to improve processes.
Onsite exhibit management at association conferences.
Facilitate course workshop logistics including administration, coordinating in-kind equipment donations, working closely with ASBrS staff, exhibition management and venue personnel.
Support the industry relations manager in selling of sponsorship opportunities for ASBrS events and projects; effectively communicating partnership opportunities to prospects and partners in both verbal and written methods
Coordinate sponsor fulfillment for annual conference, ASBrS events and programs
Coordinate meetings of society partners (affiliate meetings) at annual meeting and throughout the year as needed
Prospect for new business using digital resources, industry publications and leads provided by staff.
Assist in the development of effective marketing strategies for exhibit sales and sponsorship opportunities.

At least 1-2 years’ in sales environment supporting revenue producers, specifically prospecting and qualifying for new business
Previous association/trade show experience, preferred, but not required. Talent trumps experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred or commensurate experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Understanding of an association management software (AMS)
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to expertly handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, change oriented environment
Excellent communication and time management skills
Must be customer/team oriented, a self-starter and have a problem-solving attitude
Willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary, flexible
