As the Membership Marketing Specialist, you will develop and implement effective marketing and communications campaigns for an Association Client to promote association events, opportunities and value to members. You will support digital marketing and social media initiatives and web site and will. develop and disseminate content for various member resources and initiatives. You will report to Director, Marketing and Communications and work closely with Director of Operations and Membership Marketing.
As a Membership & Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with members who are passionate about the mission. In this role, you will support aspects of the association that advance it forward including, but not limited to, membership, and marketing. We’re always striving to find ways to do things better, ensuring our customers have the best experience possible, so we look to our employees to help us improve.
Works with association client to design and implement integrated marketing and communications campaigns designed to recruit and retain members
Coordinates campaigns to build awareness of membership issues and the value of membership.
Ensures that Star Partner advertising fulfillment is correct and manages the Buyer's Guide.
Identifies and pursues innovative strategies to raise awareness and increase membership
Manages the content collection, development and delivery of several electronic newsletters
Provides excellent customer service to members and potential members via phone, email or in person at association events
Understands and uses the Association Management System to assist in maintaining accurate membership records and promotional tracking and analytics.
Participates in evaluating programs, measuring effectiveness
Assists in managing the organization’s social media initiatives and blog posting
Manages the association website - makes basic page updates and adds graphics as needed. Works with creative team on major initiatives. Works with other staff on content tagging and overall usability. Occasionally reviews all pages to ensure style guidelines are being followed. Regularly review website statistics and share information with the team.
Provides content and manage the page on the user community
May develop reports and recommendations
Contributes to the development and enhancement of policies and processes
Ensures that all work product follows editorial policies and standards
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or English
Three years of relevant marketing experience, including development of marketing materials and project management
Excellent written and verbal communications
Strong organization, time management and customer service skills
Demonstrated creativity and design sensibility
Ability to influence and persuade
Displays high energy, is versatile and is self-directed
Excellent attention to details
Ability to stay deadline oriented and flexible under competing time requirements
