SFM & SFA are currently interviewing candidates for the position of a Marketing Project Coordinator who will be responsible for advising and managing projects as it relates to our SFM venues to ensure financial and qualitative goals are attained. This position will be responsible for assisting each SFM venue in achieving its financial and qualitative goals by coordinating the efforts of our venues to ensure consistency across our family of operations including guiding layout, communications decisions for venues, and ensuring the venues we operate meet our corporate standards. The projects this position is responsible for will include a variety of advisory, consultation, and project management responsibilities. The work is often challenging, fast-paced, and will involve periodic travel for short durations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, clients, suppliers, designers, printers, colleagues, and partner organizations.
Clear and effective written and oral communication; from technical documents to marketing copy
Experience in the leadership, planning, and project management of advertising, digital marketing, public relations, event organization, product development, distribution, sponsorship and research of sports, entertainment, and recreation venues.
Experience working in and maintaining databases
End-to-end project management of marketing related projects
Writing and proofreading copy; graphic design and layout
Arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials
Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships
Proven success in generating awareness through consumer marketing and branding
Proven experience in the successful launch of destination-specific advertising/marketing campaigns
Management of a marketing and business development budget including decisions on prioritization of highest and best return-on-investment for each marketing dollar; proven analytics to measure the ROI, efficiency, and effectiveness for all marketing programs
Prior experience in market research to gain consumer insights and key selling points for attracting and managing corporate relationships including sponsorship and financial partnerships
Management of facility websites, content development, press release activity, and social media platforms
Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press - local, regional, national and specialist publications - or on the radio, depending on the organization and the campaign
Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters, and DVDs
Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies
Preferred but not required: Experience working with convention & visitors bureau, regional sports commissions, and/or regional event management booking in regional sports and/or convention center
Bachelors Degree in Business Development, Marketing, or Business Administration or a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar or comparable position
Skilled at identifying and creating opportunities to deliver revenue goals
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and creative publishing tools relevant to the application
Driven self-starter who can work independently and effectively meets deadlines
Effective project management: ownership and accountability of projects from start to finish
