American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) seeks a Marketing Coordinator to assist the VP, Marketing & Strategic Initiatives in the promotion of and communications about AWEA conferences, membership, exhibition, publications, and sponsorship offerings. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain the AWEA online store and CareersInWind.com and support the creation of other marketing and event collateral such as marketing brochures, onsite programs and exhibitory/membership directories.

Develop and distribute marketing emails messages.
Assist in creating marketing collateral for AWEA – including, but not limited to, print ads, brochures, digital ads, event programs and directories.
Create and update web content for educational & event programs and monitor site for regularly to ensure all content is up to date and relevant.
Coordinate marketing lists in AWEA email marketing system.
Update data in AWEA membership database as needed to support effective marketing efforts.
Ensure AWEA events are posted on relevant external event calendars.
Maintain the AWEA Online Store and CareersInWind.com job site.
Create and distribute event partner materials as needed.
Creates and edits content on AWEA’s events app.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education and/or Experience

Qualified applicants may possess any combination of education and experience enabling them to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator required. Preferred qualifications are: Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college/university; and a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience in tradeshows, advertising, sponsorships and/or Association marketing. Knowledge of Kentico, Protech or Informz a plus.
