An industry leader in trademark licensing, the ASU Trademark Licensing department is looking for someone with strong marketing and communication skills to join the team as the Trademark Licensing Assistant. The successful candidate will have experience in social media marketing, vendor communication and engagement, sales and client management. This position will be engaged with trademark licensing vendors and customers providing support to grow retail revenue and promoting and protecting the ASU brand. Position will work some athletic events.
$43,500 - $48,500 per year; DOE
Builds and executes strategic campaigns for social media such as: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, FourSquare, Pinterest, Tumblr, and other channels as needed.
Monitors and analyzes campaign effectiveness and applies to development of future strategies.
Implements department projects designed to enhance and generate more licensed merchandise sales.
Manages vendor/supplier relationships with assigned suppliers ensuring beneficial collaborative relationship to all parties.
Provides information about university licensing program to potential licensees.
Works with trademark licensing management and collegiate licensing organization to develop marketing and promotional plans.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external constituencies.
As needed assists with the review and approval of artwork and designs for resale merchandise using the University’s registered trademarks to ensure the integrity of the University brand and image.
Work schedule: 8-5 Monday – Friday; occasional weekends and evenings
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field and one (1) year of experience OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%). Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%).Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions. Activities may involve limited time working in extreme weather conditions; hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Local travel to event sites and vendor visits involving operation of a motor vehicle.
