About Tree House Humane Society
Tree House Humane Society has been at the forefront of saving our communities’ most vulnerable cats for more than 47 years. In that time, we have spayed and neutered thousands of animals, supported hundreds of colony caretakers managing colonies across Chicago’s north side, and placed more than 26,000 cats in forever homes.
Tree House opened its new 15,000 sq. ft. shelter and clinic on the north side of Chicago in July 2017. This modern, progressive and attractive building allows the cats in its care to live in a cage-free, comfortable and cozy environment while awaiting forever homes. Today, with our new shelter and adoption center, we have the opportunity to expand our work to reduce the number of homeless cats through trap/neuter/return services, community cat colony management, humane education, and adoption.
