Develops strategic marketing plans and communications initiatives to advance the facilities, programs, services and events of multiple departmental units in accordance with University policy and guidelines.
Prepares clear and concise communication for internal and external audiences, utilizing print, digital, web, and social media channels.
Develops and/or oversees the production of posters, flyers, banners, signs, logos and branding, advertisement, social media graphics, web graphics, and other visual materials as needed to communicate departmental messages.
Aligns marketing and branding with University standards and guidelines.
Manages multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Supervises a team of skilled creative marketing professionals.
Serves as project manager and/or advisor with external vendors on communication and design initiatives.
Assesses the impact of internal/external communications, measures analytics, and makes necessary adjustments.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in a closely related field and at least three years of experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in the area of assignment.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Master's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field.
Three to five years of related work experience in a University setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and deadline driven.
Supervisory experience, staff development skills, and human resource management.
Outstanding portfolio of creative campaigns targeting a college student audience.
Outstanding team leader and collaborator who prioritizes customer service.
Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Experience with web content management systems; i.e. Drupal.
Self-motivated; able to work independently and as a member of a diverse team.
