The Coordinator for Marketing and Communications provides strategic support and serves as the tactical lead in recruiting and retaining students to live and dine in UHRL facilities in an effort to increase occupancy, retention to the halls, and student satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to the work assigned.
1 year of relevant marketing and research work experience required with working knowledge of various promotion and assessment techniques.
A proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.
Demonstrated experience with digital marketing and social media strategies.
Understanding of search engine optimization, paid search, and content marketing.
Proficiency with web and marketing analytics platforms.
Knowledge of graphic design best practices and proven creative direction experience.
Demonstrated experience in planning, writing and producing marketing plans and materials.
Understanding of the diversity of media options for most effective communication.
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated effectiveness in oral, written and e-mail communications.
Demonstrated leadership in a team environment.
Management experience of student or professional staff.
Experience in managing a marketing or other program budget.
Experience contributing to the development of a complex budget and contributing ideas for revenue enhancement.
A demonstrated commitment to enhancing and promoting diversity.
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
This position is designated as a critical, security-sensitive or safety-sensitive position; therefore the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check and be deemed fit for duty at placement and while serving in the position.
Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Communications, Marketing, or other applicable field
Proven social media expertise (Klout, Hootsuite, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, #hashtag development, and management)
Experience with Graphic Design or a basic understanding of graphic design programs Event planning experience
Experience in college student housing or college student affairs
