The Marketing and Client Relationship department provides services to a wide range of clients across the EMEA region, whilst attempting to secure more clients into our wide range of products. We sell Nomura products as well as those of associate companies such as American Century.
The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated team player with a strong and proven track record of sales support / RFP and business development experience in a similar role, ideally at a large or boutique asset manager. The candidate must be able to prioritise individual and team work loads and deliver high quality, accurate work to meet standards required by internal and external parties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
First line support - assist with incoming ad-hoc Q&As (email and telephone) from the sales team.
Research new prospective investors ahead of introductory meetings e.g. firm background, newsflow, asset allocation, manager roster, historic relationship with Nomura, identifying key decision makers.
Schedule meetings with prospective investors on behalf of the sales manager, deliver logistics and collate the materials ahead of the meeting.
Attend the meeting (as required by sales manager) acting as secondary or back-up contact.
Collate meeting notes, review/update CRM entry, add to relevant mailing lists and arrange timely follow up materials. Proactively organise follow-up for the sales manager.
Act as primary administrative liaison point between sales manager and product team where appropriate i.e. fulfilling a "broker desk" function handling fund related enquires.
Assist and ensure that all new agreements or updates to agreements are completed.
Ongoing sales support - following up on recently attended events, complete RFPs, production of performance data, attribution, help at events, support new product launches etc.
Skills & Experience:
Team spirit is key, together with ability to be a self-starter, and lateral thinker
Strong with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong analytical / numeracy skills
Proficient in spoken and written English
Project management / multi-tasking ability
