Purpose of Position
Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Advantage Kentucky Alliance with setting sales appointments and general marketing support.
Main responsibility will be prospect development (cold-calling) and secondary responsibilities will include but are not limited to maintaining AKA's database (Salesforce), website management, development of marketing collateral, and general marketing support. Position can be remote but will have monthly required visits to AKA's HQ's in Bowling Green KY.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position but are not construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on administration discretion and institutional needs.
Provide Telemarketing services for AKA staff through cold calling (60% of time);
Become AKA's "voice" through marketing initiatives including but not limited to development of marketing ads, brochures, and general advertising documents;
Provide general administrative support to the AKA team (AKA/WKU employees and 3rd party delivery and support);
Develop and grow email database organically;
Processing of administrative and general office paperwork for AKA as necessary;
Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in a fast paced work environment with many interruptions;
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in high pressure, deadline intensive environments;
Must be organized, detail orientated and a self-motivator;
Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
Minimum one year of experience and documented success "cold calling" with targeted prospect lists, calling, qualifying targeted prospects according to pre-established templates setting up appointments with prospects;
Minimum one year of experience developing marketing documentation;
Minimum one year of experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, WORD), Adobe, and Data management software;
Experience interacting with manufacturing and business executives;
Position requires a valid driver's license, automotive insurance and dependable transportation.
