The E-commerce Manager will oversee the company’s e-commerce operations and set a strategic direction to drive results. This position will be responsible for driving financial growth and profitability for e-commerce initiatives; developing marketing and merchandising strategies with the goal of increasing sales and profits from e-commerce platforms.
Lead all aspects of the company’s e-commerce business strategy development with focus on creating long-term value propositions across company retail sites, social media and third-party platforms.
Champion development of retail functionality and marketing programs which will drive business growth and stimulate consumer engagement.
Manage marketing team to optimize and support both B2C and B2B e-commerce platforms.
Manage online campaigns across different channels to increase traffic and conversion with the goal of ensuring ROI goals are met.
Train, develop, and manage the e-commerce team to efficiently execute tasks required to maintain marketplace accounts, enhance customers’ digital experience, and increase profitability within the company’s e-commerce function.
Work with technical team to ensure that website technology, structure, organization, design and functionality are customer driven, user-centric and metrics-based. Play an integral role website design and functionality.
Ensure the day-to-day effectiveness of content display merchandising, navigation, search functionality, and product presentation to maximize customer experience.
Demonstrates the ability to drive analytics (e.g. average order value, promotion effectiveness, conversion rate, customer retention, etc.) with the purpose of growing sales and increasing profitability.
Work cross-functionally with sourcing, sales, and other departments to develop promotions that increases channel growth and profitability.
Successfully manage vendor and channel partner relationships. Analyze and develop new online marketing relationships such as affiliate programs, link building, and sponsorship opportunities.
Project management of any new products or enhancements to online environment (e.g. loyalty programs, affiliate programs, search engine marketing and optimization).
Implement natural and paid search methodologies; test and recommend optimal SEO strategies for all web properties.
Manage budget and other financial responsibilities within the department.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related focus preferred.
Demonstrated ability to successfully develop, manage, and grow a complex e-commerce operation.
Previous supervisory experience and proven leadership ability.
Experience with budget management, forecasting, and related financial responsibilities.
Ability to identify, prioritize, and implement impactful improvements to existing systems and processes.
Experience selling across multiple e-commerce channels (paid search, SEO, email marketing, online display advertising, social).
Ability to acquire and convert customers through modern digital marketing methods including organic and paid, content, UX, etc.
Knowledge of e-commerce software, platforms, tools, and vendors. Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting and content management systems and processes.
Experience leveraging analytics across platforms to collect data; track, analyze, and optimize financial results / ROI.
