Shenandoah University Athletics is accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions. This will be a full time benefited position based on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.
This position will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the department’s overall marketing and promotional strategy. The Assistant AD will serve as the primary point person working with the Office of Student Life to increase student involvement and participation in athletic events. The position will also develop student promotions, giveaways, in-game contests, etc., to increase game day experience.
Additional duties: Serve as a sport administrator for assigned sports. Supervise work study students. Engage SAAC in community partnerships. Assist with pre/post-game presentations and special events. Assist with social media strategy and social media platforms to engage students and fans. Maintain positive and consistent working relationships with athletic department sponsors and outside vendors.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and promotions, event planning or a related field. Certification in First Aid, AED, CPR.
