The American Dental Association's Sales Enablement team promotes products and services of the ADA Business Group, particularly Conferences & Continuing Education (CCE) and Product Development & Sales (PDS). As a key member of the Sales Enablement team, the Content Strategy Manager will translate business strategies into compelling, actionable messages that help generate non-dues revenue and meet sales targets. By leading a small content team to execute print and digital marketing tactics, this manager will ensure campaigns get executed on time, on strategy and on budget.
Partner with rest of Sales Enablement team to plan content and distribution strategy for CCE and PDS marketing messages
Develop messages tailored to each product/service, customer segment, channel, and stage in the customer journey; foster creativity in group situations and catalyze fresh ideas
Write compelling, effective text for ads, articles, mailers, catalogs, websites, emails, video scripts, social media and other channels
Collaborate with colleagues across the Business Group and the ADA as a whole to ensure alignment with the ADA brand and Strategic Plan
Build trusting, respectful relationships with stakeholders to help ensure business goals are met
Work with IT and outside vendors to leverage digital tools in a spirit of continuous improvement
Use customer surveys, persona research, A/B testing, and other types of data to optimize messaging and tactics
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
in/with writing and editing for print and digital across a variety of target audiences
developing content plans and schedules
editorial and/or direct mail
email marketing platforms
working in a results-driven environment
supervising and coaching one or more employees
Must have excellent critical thinking, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Must have knowledge of customer psychology and user experience principles.
Must have the ability to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles; keep up with marketing trends in the industry; make decisions based on data and well-reasoned analysis.
Basic knowledge of web analytics such as Google Analytics or WebTrends.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL & PowerPoint).
Highly Desirable Skills:
Background in journalism
Writing for healthcare or in an association/member environment
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Data-driven SEO analysis and optimization
Sales data analysis
Master's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or a related field
