Fenwick & West is seeking a Senior Marketing Technology Manager to build marketing technology processes and systems that are deeply connected to and supportive of the marketing and business development efforts of the firm. The Senior Manager will partner with attorneys and other firm-wide departments, including Knowledge Management, IT, HR, Finance and Risk, to ensure the systems and processes are closely aligned to serving the firm's practice groups and strategic initiatives. The Senior Manager will also guide and assist the firm on issues related to the design, implementation and adoption of marketing technologies which are critical to business development, and oversee the marketing technology stack including the external website, marketing automation system, CRM, and reporting. This individual will gather and analyze data and analytics to demonstrate the return on investment made by marketing and make recommendations for improvements, as well as, serve as the liaison between the Marketing team and the IT department and effectively communicate the needs of each group. This position can be based in our San Francisco or Mountain View office.
Lead administration of the firm's CRM and marketing automation systems and ensure data quality.
Develop automated and replicable marketing automation programs for events and other processes.
Create, automate and maintain CRM reports to assist in analyzing ROI on business development and marketing efforts, including mailings and events.
Ensure ongoing data and list quality through analysis, research and validation.
Develop and implement data maintenance plans and best practices to monitor the integrity of the data used in mass mailings.
Oversee and manage the operations, maintenance and development of the firm's website in conjunction with the Manager of Content and Digital Marketing.
Provide automated reporting by practice, industry and attorney on website performance including SEO benchmarking and improvement.
Manage technology-related vendor relationships.
Understand, evaluate and recommend new ways that technology can improve the firm's marketing function and contribute to the firm's business development goals.
Work closely with internal cross-departmental teams and vendors to manage the development, implementation, and integration of approved new requirements to the firm's marketing systems.
Work with attorneys, practice group leaders and the marketing team to design efficient and effective solutions for individuals and groups.
Provide user training and support and develop manuals and functional documentation for all marketing technology platforms.
Support the marketing team by troubleshooting technology questions relating to the website, email marketing and CRM needs.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
5-7 years’ experience working with marketing technology in a professional services environment.
Experience with content management systems, blogging systems and online video platforms.
Considerable experience with website management, search engine optimization and web analytics.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Significant experience with CRM and marketing automation systems and related integration and reporting features.
Strong sense of initiative in seeking out new technologies that have potential to be used as effective marketing tools.
Highly motivated self-starter who is able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and has strong organizational skills.
Excellent technology and database management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, peers, direct reports and other professionals.
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
