Role Summary includes but not limited to the following:
The Director, Digital Marketing Technology will lead the Digital Marketing Solutions Capability team to enable leading-edge of marketing, digital, and non-personal promotion technologies by working with cross functional teams to improve customer engagement and user experience to create better outcomes for our customers and patients.
In this role, the successful candidate will help define the customer engagement and integrated digital marketing technology stack to support marketing strategies for all Company brands. This role will work in an Agile environment to lead a product engineering and DevOps team (onshore/offshore). The incumbent will partner with subject-matter experts within Otsuka including Brand Marketing, Sales & Marketing Operations, Business Analytics & Insights, Digital Social Media Committees (DSMC), and other internal stakeholders. Lead the vendor selection and management across Digital Marketing, Measurement, Asset Management, and Hosting technology operations. Facilitate agreed-upon process that develops project plans and prioritization by leadership and yields effective program governance. Coordinate portfolio planning, investment ranking, balancing and resource planning.
A results-oriented leader with track record of quality and delivery, preferably in a regulated industry. A dynamic leader who can operate at a strategic level as well as leading projects directly as needed.
Bachelors degree is required, Degree in computer science, marketing, business administration or related discipline is preferred. MBA preferred
Minimum 7 years of IT industry related experience is required.
Marketing experience in either a B2B and/or B2C organization with a strong online, eCommerce or digital presence is required.
Experience managing vendors and a team of direct or indirect reports is required.
Experience working with Marketing and knowledge of commercial strategy is required.
Experience with Web and Mobile Content Management and Marketing Automation is required.
Agency or Center of Excellence experience is preferred.
Experience with analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture) or Google Analytics, and Tag Management suites like Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, Signal, etc is preferred.
Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce, Veeva), Data Management Platform (DMP), and Visualization Reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry or a highly regulated environment is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the Digital Capability staff.
Up to 10% travel is required based upon business needs.
