The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) seeks a highly ambitious, driven marketing professional for the position of Brand & Marketing Manager. This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial non-profit environment and to gain significant marketing and communications experience in all areas of the field. This position will primarily focus on marketing and awareness activities related to our public/consumer audiences.
Develop marketing, PR, web, and social media strategies for NSF’s well-known annual awareness campaigns Sleep Awareness Week® and Drowsy Driving Prevention Week®.
Build relationships with key partners, and find new activations that fit with NSF and partner goals and objectives.
Guide and grow NSF’s digital and social media strategy.
Create and implement marketing plans that promote and drive the growth of web properties, education programs, membership programs, journal, and other assets.
Write and manage NSF communications to stakeholder groups (e.g. newsletter to discrete membership groups or e-newsletter to Board of Directors); maintain distribution lists, and develop new communications using social media.
Develop integrated marketing strategies that build organization awareness and website traffic.
Manage incoming media requests, linking experts and journalists as needed. Keep organized, accurate contact list. Write press releases as needed.
Manage email marketing activities, including email marketing schedule, mailings, and improvements to the process.
Draft and create all emails, social media campaigns and posts, banner ads, infographics, PPC ads and other marketing deliverables to support marketing plans.
Manage projects on time and on budget.

3-5 years marketing experience. Prior experience at a PR firm or advertising agency preferred.
Superb written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Must be a highly independent, ambitious worker, energetic, creative, and comfortable with planning and executing campaigns and managing relationships.
Must work well with others.
Prefer a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Business or Marketing.
