The Director of Global Marketing, CNS is a newly developed role responsible for maximizing brand value globally of early to late stage CNS assets, including a novel digital therapeutic. This role will require someone who can be a strategic commercial leader to identify ways to optimize brand value through indication and lifecycle prioritization, clinical design/endpoints, global positioning development and label enhancements. This individual will also need to demonstrate the ability to lead workstreams, partner effectively and foster trust and collaboration with development teams, cross-functional teams and with global Otsuka regions in Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, South Korea and other Asian regions. This role will also help build a new marketing capability at Otsuka in defining key decision points by stage of development and driving commercial deliverables within these 3 areas of focus:
Early/late stage development: prioritizing indication/LCM pathway, identifying minimal reimbursable target product profiles by region and working with regions to identify market access/pricing requirements for pipeline
Pre-launch commercialization : building pre-launch global brand strategy, global positioning and core brand assets to support regional launch teams
Maximizes product value over the entire lifecycle by proactively identifying opportunities for clinical and market differentiation working with development teams, cross-functional teams and regional teams globally
Partners with regions and cross-functional teams to identify regional needs/considerations in shaping development and commercialization decisions
Acts as co-chair of global brand team (with OPDC) to oversee regional brand strategies and evidence generation plan with Otsuka regions
Leads the development of foundational brand deliverables including global brand positioning, branding/logo, and development of pre-commercialization brand plan to support transition to regional brand teams upon Phase 3 data
Partners with regions to understand regional brand plans to ensure strategic alignment to global positioning
Develops and oversees annual global marketing budgets needed to shape the market and build the brand prior to Phase 3 readout (which includes global market research, brand analytics, brand strategy projects
The director of CNS Global Marketing will report to the Senior Director of Global Marketing and this role is based in the Princeton Otsuka office.
MBA, PharmD, PhD or other relevant graduate or post-graduate degree
Brand marketing experience required , including identifying market and customer needs, building strategic and tactical plans and brand promotions
Prior experience with successfullylaunching a brand (s)
CNS experience is an asset
Ability to create strong network and trust cross-functionally and across regions and demonstrated leadership skills
Analytic and financial acumen to identify key business questions and brand analytics needed and inputs needed for forecasting scenarios
Demonstrated leadership capability and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Up to 30% travel is required, based upon business needs.
