HudsonWay Immersion School (www.hwis.org), a private preschool/elementary Mandarin & Spanish Immersion School has a great opportunity for a detail-oriented digital marketing professional who is highly productive and can execute the School's strategic digital marketing plan. Need someone with excellent writing skills to create content, and website experience to manage ours (technical, analytics, create/post photos, videos, etc.). The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the design, implementation and analysis of marketing and admissions campaigns. Position travels weekly between our 2 locations (NY & NJ). and reports to Director, Marketing & Admissions.
With the Director creates and carries out an inbound marketing strategy designed to increase inquiries and move qualified leads through the admission funnel.
Serves as the School’s webmaster, ensuring that the website is up-to-date and free of errors; develops a well-written and dynamic web presence, including frequent news posts, blog posts, event updates, and multimedia content; addresses support issues and keeps users informed of software updates and changes.
Monitors social media, advertising, brand identity, and school review sites, providing updates to the Director as needed. Scrutinizes competition.
Produces monthly reports for the following: website page and content analytics (Google Analytics, Adwords), search engine rankings, and social media analytics.
Collaborates with Admissions team to help meet the school’s recruitment and re-recruitment goals and community engagement goals.
Serves as School’s secondary photographer and videographer, capturing school events and activities by taking pictures and/or video at daytime events, and some evening and weekend events as needed. Writes content and posts.
Manages all aspects of the school’s e-newsletters, including information collection, design, copy editing, dissemination, and list hygiene.
Produces social, blog, website, press release and e-newsletter templates and graphics as requested.
Additional contributions may include event planning and admissions support; co-execute and assess events
Bachelor’s degree required, journalism, marketing, communication, graphic design, or similar major preferred.
3-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, event planning or a related field
Superior writing and editing skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to positively interact with a wide variety of constituents – agencies, advertising vendors, administrative colleagues, faculty, students, alumni, and parents. Must be outgoing, friendly and appropriate in all communications.
Experience managing social media content in a business/professional role, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and blogs.
3 years of experience managing website content.
Self-motivated individual taking initiative to identify, prioritize and execute tasks
Superb ability to multi-task; highly organized & attentive-to-detail; deadline driven
Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team environment with a sense of urgency; deadline driven
Must be able to implement tasks accurately and by deadline.
A sharp eye for aesthetics and details.
Experience in taking photographs, writing caption content and creating videos
Prior experience working in a private-independent school or educational setting highly preferred. Passion/interest in Education highly desired
Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial, “can do” attitude.
Calm and patient demeanor; thinks first before responding.
Must be able to travel freely and easily to both locations (NY & NJ)
Position requires weekly travel between NJ and NY. Both locations are accessible by public transportation.
