The digital marketing and participant engagement coordinator will be responsible for creating, implementing, and continuously improving digital marketing strategies for a large clinical research team, focused on recruiting participants into research studies. This position requires a creative and analytical individual with a strong background in internet marketing, including social media marketing, digital advertising, and related analytics. The coordinator must have experience creating and implementing digital marketing campaigns and strategies, compiling, analyzing, and communicating campaign performance data. Content development skills, including graphic/web design, front-end web development (e.g., CSS, HTML) and/or website builders, are strongly preferred. This position will also involve managing participant engagement efforts and communication as studies are ongoing, and will require the coordinator to check participant databases, identify participants who are at-risk for disengaging, and conducting outreach to ensure retention. Managing participant correspondence will also be a key part of this position.
Education and Experience
BA or BS in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or other related field plus at least one year of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in content generation, graphic design, and web design strongly preferred
Front-end web development skills (CSS/HTML) are strongly preferred or high motivation to learn
Experience in social media management, outreach, and communication preferred
Knowledge of key digital marketing strategies and techniques, including best-practices for search engine marketing, online reputation management, display marketing, and social marketing
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (e.g., Illustrator) or other graphic design software
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or other front-end web languages preferred
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize complex and at times competing goals
Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community
This full-time fixed term position has an end-date of 7/30/21 and may be extended based on the availability of grant-funding.
