Digital Marketing Manager USC Marshall School of Business Online MBA Program
The Digital Marketing Manager leads the digital marketing efforts for USC Marshallâs Online MBA program and other business school programs by developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels and working with program leaders to develop overall marketing strategies.Â
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in marketing, SEO, social media management, a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, is able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution, is results-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of owning the direction and execution of our strategic efforts to increase brand awareness, qualified lead generation, and enrollment. Â In addition to being an outstanding communicator, they also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
Build, plan and implement the overall digital marketing strategy for the Online MBA program and other Marshall programs which includes the use of program websites, blogs, videos, digital advertising, email, drip campaigns, social media, print & digital advertising, and paid search
Strategize with program leaders and admissions teams to identify the optimal target audience and evaluate the key competition to establish effective and successful marketing plans
Coordinate with program leaders and admissions teams to develop timelines, review and approve assets and messaging
Work with programs to integrate the photos, videos, and testimonials of current students, faculty and alumni ambassadors in marketing campaigns
Use Salesforce and other platforms to create marketing campaigns to draw the most qualified potential leads
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
Work with program leaders and admissions team ensure that use of Salesforce optimizes engagement with prospects, tracks touch points with their leads, rank applicantsâ interest levels, and harvests relationships with leads
Partner with Marshall IT and marketing/communication departments to keep website content up to date, optimize the user experience, and to ensure branding and design are consistent and well-integrated across all programs, as well as within the Universityâs and Marshallâs style guide and overall messaging
Lead the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy to optimize placement within search engine results and evaluate metrics that affect website traffic, service quotas, and target audience
Manage social media accounts for program marketing
Lead, supervise, and motivate members of the digital marketing team
Prepare and manage the digital marketing budget
Use exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with Marshall leadership and various teams within USC as well as faculty and outside partners
Stay up to date with the industry, market trends, latest technology and best practices
Masters degree with an emphasis in marketing, advertising, digital technology, or related fields
5 years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies;
Excellent knowledge of all different digital marketing channels and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
5 years of hands-on experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software
Familiarity with web design
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
Good knowledge of Salesforce
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Current with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree; Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 3 Years; Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Thorough knowledge of marketing and business management. Knowledge of the principles, practices, concepts and methodology of marketing. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
