Overview of position: The Marketing Manager is passionate about uncovering consumer insights and both developing and delivering innovative, multi-channel marketing campaigns to the life science and clinical market segments. S/he understands the life science and clinical markets and related technologies, as well as research and clinical customer pain points. This role will support the company’s goals by developing and driving strategic and tactical direction across the full spectrum of marketing activities. Leading the marketing team, the Marketing Manager is responsible for strategy, direction, editing, and program production, ensuring all digital and print content marketing communicates appropriate, valuable, and compelling messages within branding guidelines to improve the customer experience.
Duties/Responsibilities, Core Knowledge:
Manage members of the marketing team: direct department goals/strategy, provide team with development opportunities, guidance/coaching.
Develop and drive the successful execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across the life science and clinical segments using different channels
Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
Understand how to create a persuasive story to develop relevant content for each stage of the buyer’s journey.
Work across the organization and with vendors, distributors, and partners to create effective marketing materials including sales collateral, product announcements, advertisements, email communications, technical web content, eBooks, infographics, and videos that will drive business.
Oversee promotion/strategy of ALPCO profile and customer engagement on social media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Ensure that the team is utilizing effective SEO/SEM practices.
Manage company participation for all industry trade shows (booth, registration, housing, etc.)
Preserve consistent brand identity and awareness across all external channels.
Ensure compliance of quality output and graphic standards for all materials.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
Marketing degree (Master’s preferred)
5-10 years’ experience (life science and clinical experience required) in a marketing role utilizing both traditional and digital marketing expertise
Highly creative with ability to think outside the box
Superior writing and communications skills
Experience implementing marketing campaigns
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong foundation in print and electronic media and production
Understanding of marketing automation and CRM tools
Detail oriented, accurate and assertive with excellent follow-up skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner
