Position Description: UCLA Summer Sessions and UCLA International Education Office is seeking a Marketing and Events Specialist who will manage various marketing campaigns and plan and implement small to large scale events and programs that advance strategic goals for SSIEO. The Marketing and Events Specialist is a self-starter with strong attention to detail who will be responsible for providing programmatic, logistical, administrative, and analytical support for all Summer Sessions and Study Abroad marketing efforts. Under the guidance of the Director of Marketing and Communications, this individual will also manage various digital marketing efforts such as paid/organic social media campaigns, email campaigns, website, and continually optimize campaigns based on data analysis. The Marketing and Events Specialist will handle financial aspects of events such as managing event budgets, create purchase orders and contracts with vendors, and ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner. The Marketing and Events Specialist will represent Summer Sessions and the International Education Office at relevant marketing and recruiting events and oversee support staff in related event and marketing projects. Develop and maintain efficient collaborative partnerships with UCLA units, UC campuses, other college campuses, and external partners. Individual will be responsible for working with external vendors and all facets of event production as well as handling financial aspects for events & paid digital marketing campaigns. Preferred qualification is minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in marketing and events management.
