Scottsdale Arts seeks full time Marketing Manager to supervise staff and provide oversight for advertising and assigned marketing functions for Scottsdale Arts. Collaborate with the director of marketing to develop, recommend and implement advertising plans for all Scottsdale Arts shows, exhibitions and special events. Modify plans as needed based on continual monitoring and shifting needs of organization.
Collaborate with director of marketing to research, contract, monitor and measure results of marketing and advertising plans. Recommend improvements for future marketing plans. Maintain department tear sheets and archives.
Responsible for the oversight and daily management of the on-staff graphic design team and PR team under supervision of director of marketing.
Oversight and supervisory responsibility for the digital marketing team in the absence of the director of marketing.
Oversee the design and production of all Scottsdale Arts print collateral for marketing, patron engagement and audience development.
Utilizes Asana project management software to assign and track tasks for the Marketing department team including but not limited to traditional print advertising, marketing collateral creation, public relations and oversight of in-house design team.
Coordinate with departments within Scottsdale Arts to ensure messaging is consistent and that all marketing materials, proofs and collateral are accurate.
Work with the Tessitura database administrator to ensure patron mailing lists and demographic data are accurate and up-to-date for mailings and other print marketing collateral.
Tracking and reporting of the marketing department budget on an on-going basis, including processing department invoices, coding expenses, working with the director of marketing to maintain realistic year-end projections.
Supervisory responsibility includes being responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: training marketing department staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and redirecting staff, addressing concerns and resolving issues as needed.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing or agency experience. Experience in advertising and media buying, promotions, and data/ROI analysis required. Familiarity with metro Phoenix area preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write correspondence and reports with clarity and professionalism.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as financial statements, contracts, cost estimates, invoices, policies and procedures.
Must be able to track and monitor departmental budget via spreadsheet and computer database.
Extremely detail oriented with demonstrated strong initiative with excellent organizational skills.
Fluent in Microsoft office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Must be able to multi task and meet deadlines.
Work Environment: Frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Must possess valid driver’s license and driving record which is acceptable to the organization’s insurance carrier.
