Collaborate with the full marketing team to guide brand identity, content, and creative design across a variety of platforms, including, print, digital, social media, and video content, ensuring a consistent and compelling institutional identity.
In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, develop and implement comprehensive, integrated marketing and advertising plans for public programs and events, recruitment, development, and brand initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
Serve as a key liaison for Harris Marketing with internal partners across the school, including Student Recruitment, Alumni Relations and Development, and the Career Development Office, spearheading marketing initiatives that drive functional KPIs, while increasing brand visibility and eminence.
Develop, manage, and optimize content strategy for SEO, SEM, Email marketing and social.
Measure and report performance of digital marketing channels and campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Establish timelines, project schedules, and editorial calendars, negotiating any changes in scope, managing partner expectations, and work within determined budgets to deliver projects on time.
Maintain a portfolio of digital projects across Harris departments, centers, and institutes, serving as relationship manager and project owner for various channels including HubSpot, SMS marketing and select pages on harris.uchicago.edu. Ensure brand, tone, editorial guidelines are met.
Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
Hire and manage student staff and freelancers as needed.
Investigates analyzes and resolves day-to-day technical problems using standard procedures.
Works with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for developmental programs. Receives a moderate level of guidance to design applications to meet University and business requirements.
Supports and maintains existing applications. Works with web developers and responds to requests from users.
Performs other related work as needed.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline.

Experience in higher education and/or policy communications.
Project management, proficiency in Monday.com a plus.
Working with creative teams.
Understanding of best practices in digital storytelling in communications and marketing.
Proficiency in Drupal-based CMS.
Familiarity with email marketing automation tools; experience with HubSpot.
Working knowledge of graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, and HTML / CSS beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships within a diverse institutional environment.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to review and prioritize work independently and effectively.
Successfully manage a workload that balances long-range planning with the unanticipated daily demands of managing publicly visible projects.Â
