The assistant director for direct marketing position on the alumni and annual giving programming team, under direction of the senior director of alumni and annual giving programming, will focus on execution of direct response marketing tactics primarily through email, mail, print and social media channels, as well as others to increase alumni engagement and raise funds from alumni, faculty/staff and friends. This position includes management of one staff member, a social media specialist.
Bachelor's degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 year's marketing experience, or a field relevant to the fundraising; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience with graphic design marketing communication is helpful (use of adobe creative suite or similar). Experience managing marketing projects is required. Candidate must have basic copy writing experience and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
