The Assistant Director will conceive, plan, execute and evaluate all marketing communication strategies related in support of recruitment of undergraduate, graduate and PhD students within the Department of Information Systems (IS).
Specific duties include:
Manages and allocates the marketing budget and contracts and is responsible for the procurement of any marketing-related services.
Manages all IS digital campaigns, setting and attaining marketing goals in collaboration with the Department Chair, using data analysis for all decision making, and producing improved outcomes in inquiries, applications, and enrollments of the IS Online Program.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Information Systems web presence and all IS websites as well as integration of online advertising, and social media.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with share/stakeholders to achieve the goals of the department and role.
Devises and communicates strategy, implementing, and testing for success as strategies are used and influences/guides other stakeholders to follow the same vision.
Sets and guides the long and short-term strategic plans for all IS digital marketing.
Works with UMBC or vendors to develop advertising for use in print, TV, radio, and/or web/social media.
Manages the development of IS website and social media accounts including written and graphic content management, vendor management, budget monitoring, and all related resource requirements as needed.
Supervises the implementation of all IS digital and print campaigns including developing creative content, collaborating with all stakeholders on setting timelines, advertising spend monitoring, and providing accurate reporting of outcomes.
Supervises collection, analysis, and reporting of marketing data.
Develops reporting systems to inform other stakeholders efficiently and effectively about digital marketing outcomes.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field
Four years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications development project management, direct marketing, or other related activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
