This role is part of the product marketing team for Columbia Threadneedle Investments US, focused on developing messaging and positioning of our products and compelling marketing materials. Operate both strategically and tactically to connect our investment solutions with client needs and aim to meet the advisor with the right product and right message at the right place and time. Work cross-functionally with sales, product and investments, as well as partner with internal marketing colleagues to amplify product messaging across sales channels, thought leadership and digital strategies.
This position can sit in Boston, Minneapolis, New York City or virtually if not located in those areas.
Responsibilities ??? Create marketing materials, including writing product specific marketing materials and developing key messages. Ensure compliance approvals obtained as needed. Design, develop and execute implementation plan for complex product marketing programs/ initiatives. Partner with internal or external partners to ensure execution of projects is on-time, and within budget.
??? Connect product marketing with our target financial advisor audience. Understand the strategic journey of an advisor (from awareness to consideration to purchase to advocacy/service); identify where we can improve the product marketing along that journey and implement marketing strategies to execute those improvements.
??? Create and write product marketing communication materials to support programs/initiatives, including tactical sales opportunities. Lead large cross functional teams as project manager. Build and maintain relationships across the organization to ensure alignment and integration.
??? Establish metrics, measure results and use the results to make recommendations to enhance product specific marketing initiatives/programs.
Required Qualifications ??? 5-7 years of product marketing, or related experience.
??? Ability to think strategically, coach and influence people at all levels of the organization.
??? Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
??? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
??? Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
??? Ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand language.
??? Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications ??? Bachelors degree or equivalent.
??? Financial Services (specifically asset management) experience preferred.
??? Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint; familiar with Microsoft Excel.
