Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan is seeking applicants for the position of Marketing Graduate Assistant. The Marketing Graduate Assistant will be a member of the FDU Athletics external team and provide support to the department’s 21 varsity teams. This position is a two-year position with the candidate pursuing a graduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in creating and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports
Create strategies for fan engagement and attendance
Assist in the recruitment and training of interns within the external affairs unit
Act as marketing liaison to assigned special marketing initiatives
Assist with community relations initiatives including community service, youth team participation and attendance
In-game sponsorship activation
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Marketing, Sports Administration, Communications, or a related field
Enrollment and/or acceptance in a Fairleigh Dickinson University graduate program for Fall term 2022
At least one year of relevant athletic experience (volunteer/hourly will be considered)
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including both verbal and written
Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan located in Teaneck, NJ is home to 21 NCAA Division I teams. A member of the Northeast Conference, the Knights have had tremendous success in the classroom, in athletic competition, and giving back to the Bergen County community.
Oner the last two years, FDU has won NEC championships in men's soccer, women's indoor track & field, women's bowling, and women's golf. FDU student-athletes were also recognized for their efforts in the community by winning the NEC Building Communities Award with over 3,000 community service hours. Other recent milestones include men's basketball winning the 2019 NEC championship and going on to win the first NCAA Tournament game in school history. In addition to recent championships, FDU also holds two NCAA National Championships in the sport of bowling (2006, 2010).
