JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees marketing, promotions, and in-game atmosphere for all intercollegiate sport programs focusing on efforts to increase student and fan participation and engagement in Clemson University Athletics. Coordinates with Athletic staff and external groups to enhance the game day experience and effectively promote Clemson Athletics. Provides leadership to the directors of the spirit squad and marketing department. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
45% - Essential - Oversees marketing, promotions, and in-game atmosphere for all intercollegiate sport programs. Oversees the production of creative marketing ideas, materials, and campaigns. Develops promotional, marketing, and advertising strategies and activities to drive attendance and increases fan participation at all athletic events. Collaborates with sports coaches to plan promotional efforts, with an emphasis in all sports. Maintains record of advertising and promotional activities. Manages the Marketing and Promotions budget.
30% - Essential - Works with Central Spirit, IPTAY Collegiate Club, , and other campus groups to enhance the game day experience. Coordinates with coaches and athletic administration for promotions and game management with sponsored activities at athletic events. Works with staff to grow existing and generate new revenue sources for Clemson Athletics. Works with Director of Ticket Operations and the Athletic Communications Office to ensure coordination of marketing and promotional themes with ticket sales.
15% - Essential - Works in conjunction with counterparts of Clemson Athletic Properties regarding the activation of CAPCO initiatives at all Clemson Athletic events and serves as the primary fulfillment contact for CAPCO. Produces and directs the run of show for all Football and Men's Basketball games. Coordinates production with Video/Technology staff. Identifies opportunities/inventory for CAPCO to sell within the Athletics enterprise. Assists in protecting, managing, growing, and enhancing the Clemson Athletics brand.
10% - Essential - Hires, trains, develops, and leads the Spirit Squad Coordinator in developing strategies to create enthusiasm during athletic events and manage the operations of the cheerleading and dance teams. Hires, trains, develops, and leads the Director of Marketing, Assistant director of marketing, graduate assistants and student assistants in the management of day-to- day operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree and Relevant experience in communications, marketing, and/or digital strategy.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree.
Experience in college athletic administration.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree.
Experience in college athletic administration.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
5% - Overnight Travel
WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hrs: 40; Salary commensurate with experience.
