As the Strategic Marketing Consultant, you will serve as a key member of the UCSF Health marketing team, which leads marketing strategy and implementation for UCSF Health and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. In this role, you will use advanced marketing concepts to evaluate and develop marketing plans for hospital service lines, implement tactics in support of identified goals, and measure and report on performance. You will also oversee marketing opportunities to position the organization as a leading academic medical system locally, regionally, and nationally to both physician and consumer audiences. Assignments are complex and require a high degree of technical marketing acumen, strategic thinking, and relationship management.
The successful candidate:
* Will help develop new and innovative marketing strategies and relationships to benefit UCSF Health and continue to position the health network as a leading academic medical center regionally and nationally. * Collaborates with internal and external marketing colleagues to develop and manage effective marketing and communication strategies to meet volume and reputation goals * Implements, tracks and reports key success metrics (ROI) for marketing campaigns * Consults with leadership of marketing and strategy to ensure alignment of marketing assignments to identified priorities * Manages relationships with clinical leaders to develop marketing plans, plan content, and identify competitive differentiation for national reputation and awareness campaigns * Pursues competitive analysis and applies best practices based on strategic insights and market intelligence * Can communicate complex ideas in a simple and understandable fashion to all levels of the organization and develop effective presentations for senior leaders * Collaborates with colleagues in strategic marketing, digital marketing, physician outreach and media relations to ensure integrated and coordinated marketing and communication efforts * Serves a prominent representative of the UCSF Health brand * Other duties as assigned * Some travel required
