SUMMARY The Marketing Director is responsible for the daily oversight and operations of the Marketing & Communications team. To be successful in this role, you should have strong leadership and strategic planning skills. This position works closely with the VP for Marketing/CMO and key individuals on campus to meet overall university objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other tasks and duties may be assigned by your supervisor.
Work in collaboration with the VP for Marketing/CMO to build brand awareness, create and manage advertising campaigns, and develop promotions
Use project management software to ensure marketing projects are completed on time and within budget
Lead a cross-departmental social media team to create and manage a comprehensive content calendar that encompasses all social channels
Serve as a reviewer and proofreader of all creative work
Maintain successful, collaborative, and helpful working relations with university departments and outside vendors
Develop and maintain an efficient and effective process to provide successful project outcomes
Lead a strategic team, including organizing work and progress, setting priorities and expectations, and coaching
Provide metrics on the success of campaigns
Effectively and accurately communicate priorities to the marketing team
Supervise student employees and coordinate office coverage schedules
Participate in and occasionally lead team prayer and devotionals
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of Marketing & Communications team, this position reports directly to the VP for Marketing/CMO.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises hourly, salary, and student staff members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution preferred, preferably with a degree in advertising, marketing, or communications
The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills enabling them to build and maintain positive relationships within the university community
Excellent communicator in both written and spoken communications
Proactive, self-motivated, maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy while working well within a face-paced environment
This candidate will possess strong organizational skills with a keen eye for details, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while consistently producing high quality work
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Experience with Monday and Google Analytics, Ads, and Search Console preferred.
