POSITION DETAILS
Lehman College is seeking a creative and strategic marketing manager to plan and execute a comprehensive, proactive strategy that advances the College???s mission and goals by building support for the institution and the College brand, defining target audiences and promoting Lehman???s major initiatives, programs, services and events.
This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Communications and Marketing. Lehman College, of The City University of New York, ranks among the top five institutions in the nation for fostering social mobility. A four-year Hispanic-Serving Institution in the Bronx, Lehman offers bachelor???s, master???s, doctorate's, advanced degrees, and certificate programs in the Liberal Arts, sciences, and professions. The College???s community-driven mission and notable academic programs attract a diverse, international enrollment of over 14,000 students who take courses on its 37-acre, tree-lined campus and online degree programs. Many thousands more community members benefit yearly from its active cultural, educational, health, and economic outreach programs and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
??? Develop and oversee strategic marketing plans, policies and objectives to grow Lehman College enrollment and advance the institute???s mission
??? Liaise with enrollment, admissions, institutional advancement, as well as schools and departments to develop marketing messages, promotional materials and advertising copy
??? Develop and execute clearly defined, targeted, and measurable digital marketing objectives
??? Evaluate client needs, conceptualizing creative marketing ideas, market research, digital marketing and media buying
??? Conduct market research, understand and report on current market conditions and competitor information
??? Support development and admissions goals with targeted fundraising and marketing campaigns
??? Utilize data to develop appropriate student acquisition and retention strategies by identifying potential membership markets, and monitoring trends
??? Identify key metrics and implement tracking systems. (Detailed results & ROI reporting on campaigns & initiatives). Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
??? Oversee planning, development, budgeting, scheduling and execution of marketing initiatives
??? Evaluate needed partners to develop and implement marketing efforts and strategic initiatives
??? Build brand awareness and ensure that all communications align with the Lehman College brand
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
Knowledge and Skills
??? Initiative, a commitment to quality, sound judgment, a passion for what you do, and ability to work collaboratively are a must
??? Be a strategic and creative thinker
??? Previous copywriting experience; you will be expected to review and revise marketing copy
??? Previous digital marketing experience with demonstrable results
??? You must have a good eye, recognize good (and bad) design and be able to communicate and work collaboratively with graphic designers, videographers and web development professionals to execute campaigns
??? Experience in marketing for a college or university is a plus, but not a requirement
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Manages marketing and advertising initiatives to achieve specific marketing goals.
Develops advertising programs consistent within overall marketing plans to achieve image, awareness and/or enrollment goals
Implements programs in print, radio, broadcasting, mail, and electronic communications, coordinating with internal units and external service providers
Actively manages and moderates electronic content and marketing tools for both College and external web sites and sources, including social networks, video portals, and listservs
-Develops, tracks, and reports on both advertising costs (budgets) and results to assure goals are met; collects and analyzes data on exposure, traffic, and other metrics
May supervise staff and external service providers
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience. $82,928 -$86,645
