Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager will coordinate, develop and implement marketing policies, programs, and campaigns for an educational print music publishing company with four distinct publishing brands. This role is responsible for producing engaging and compelling written and visual content for marketing and communications. The role will cover digital and print marketing, for both B2C and B2B context. A focus of the position is the creation and implementation of social media marketing plans and email marketing campaigns, as well as writing press releases, new release blurbs, and seasonal campaign copy. With a particular emphasis on B2C marketing, key audiences are music educators, composers, musicians and music retailers. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Consultant, this position is part of a small dynamic and creative Marketing, Production & Sales team and offers opportunity to advance within Marketing operations of the company. The selected individual should be a creative self-starter with a background and passion for instrumental and/or choral music and have a strong attention to detail. They should be an excellent communicator, enjoy working with others, and be at home on social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok. Bonus if you have graphic design skills!
We are four educational print music publishers that operate under one umbrella, specializing in publishing quality new sheet music for Concert Band, String Orchestra, Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Solo & Ensemble, plus methods & various resources for music educators. We sell sheet music directly to consumers as well as music dealers, both in the United States and internationally.
Position Responsibilities:
Create and implement marketing campaigns via Email Marketing, Social Media, Print, and Advertising (under direction of Senior Marketing Consultant).
Manage and post regular content for four distinctly different music publisher’s social media channels. Coordinate social media content to ensure a consistent message to the various publics that corresponds with the brand and mission of the specific music publisher.
Draft written marketing materials, including press releases, new music release blurbs, consumer email marketing, magazine ads, print brochures and social ads. Proofread and edit copy with a strong sense of what makes content compelling.
Participate in Marketing Strategy and Campaign development.
Keep up to date with email marketing, social media marketing and educational school music trends and current best practices. Track, analyze and report email, website and social media analytics.
Graphic design, primarily using Canva, for email and social media images, working in conjunction with in-house website and graphic designer as well as Senior Marketing Consultant.
Collaborates, participates in/attends, and coordinates promotional activities or trade shows
Performs other duties as assigned.
Clearly communicate in person and via phone, Zoom, and email, with Marketing, Production and Sales staff at the music publishers. Attend meetings as part of the Marketing team with individuals and departments.
Work as a member of the Marketing team. Be open to receiving and implementing feedback.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in related field, Masters preferred, or 3+ years of Marketing experience
Musical background in concert band, jazz ensemble, orchestra, or choir.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines while coordinating multiple projects and tasks.
Highly skilled in digital & social media marketing, including Instagram, TikTok & Facebook.
Excellent writing skills.
Basic graphic design, primarily using Canva.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
??Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 (with opportunity to advance)
