Kuraray Advanced Interlayer Solutions Division is a global leader in safety glass interlayers with the widest product portfolio including Trosifol® PVB, SentryGlas® ionoplast and Spallshield CPET interlayers. As a Marketing Specialist, the candidate is responsible for driving growth by generating architectural specifications, leads, and new sales with a focus on specialty high-margin products in the North American region (Canada and USA).
The Marketing Specialist is key in the division's Innovation strategy as it is responsible for collecting VOC from customers (direct and downstream) in their region to support innovation pipeline and new product development. The Marketing Specialist is also responsible for the launch and introduction of new products in their region.
Responsibilities:
Create demand in the architectural market for specialty interlayers by specifying our interlayers in high-level architectural projects.
Meet with and influence key players of the value chain (architects, engineers, consultants, glaziers, etc) to present the benefits and properties for using our interlayers.
Represent Kuraray at numerous trade shows and events. Provide product presentations as needed.
Identify, prioritize, and prospect new opportunities in different market segments (Hurricanes, security, gov't buildings, etc.). Enter and track pipeline opportunities in SFDC.
Collection and analysis of market information to support business decisions.
Works with commercial, product, and demand management groups
Obtains competitive market research, such as pricing, product development, trends, sales, customer data, and other information, determines appropriate direction and implements results for the region
BS/BA in Marketing, Business or a Technical Field
2-3 years of professional experience in sales, market development or glass industry expertise
Proficient in SFDC, Microsoft Team, Excel, Power Point
Excellent communication skills, and proficient public speaking skills.
