In collaboration with the Conference and Event Services team, this position will coordinate the sales and marketing efforts of the department. This job exists to increase revenue generation with a primary focus on external clients. This position will also assist with conference planning and implementation as well as summer operations.
What You'll Do
Assist with the planning and implementation of internal and external conferences and events.
Create, maintain, and manage the sales and assist with marketing strategy of the department.
Create, maintain, and assist Conference and Event Services, social media strategy, and campaigns.
Manage Customer Relations Managment processes, including keeping client database organized and up to date, sales pipeline, contracting, invoicing.
Assist to conduct sales meetings, including meeting with potential clients to showcase our spaces and build and maintain client relationships from beginning to end.
Hiring and management of student conference staff.
Assist with developing and managing customer service and summer operations training programs.
Manages space reservations for select Tufts event spaces including sending confirmations and invoicing.
Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
Associate degree with a focus in marketing, communications and/or hospitality and 3-5 years related experience
Sales experience with event planning and Customer Relations Management
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Leadership skills in customer service, marketing, sales, and training

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
This job involves responsibilities that are performed in a hybrid working environment
On-call required for emergencies as well as nights/weekends as needed based on sales meeting and event schedules
Pay Range
Minimum $29.10, Midpoint $34.65, Maximum $40.20
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
