This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive marketing, branding, and communication strategies to advance the organization's mission and growth objectives. The position will oversee a dynamic team, collaborate with internal departments, and manage external relationships to ensure alignment across all communication channels and marketing initiatives. The Director of Marketing and Communications will play a key role in shaping Nebraska Public Media's brand, driving demand generation, and enhancing overall reputation.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, public relations or related field and five years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in marketing, public relations or communications; equivalent education/experience considered. Five years' supervisory experience. Experience in project management and budgeting. Experience developing and executing marketing and communications strategies that drive growth and engagement. Ability to develop and manage long and short-range public communications, advertising and promotional strategies reflective of brand. A thorough understanding of the design, production and distribution of print, audio, video and digital media. Knowledge of general management techniques and personnel procedures. Outstanding public relations and networking skills with public and private institutions and individuals. Ability to work with diverse constituencies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred and knowledge and/or experience in public media system, its national and regional organizations. Experience working with a statewide organization.
