Position Information: The Director of Marketing and Communications for Current Student Engagement is a strategic leadership role within UCR's Enrollment Services division. The Director will oversee, and direct projects focused on enhancing communication and engagement with current students. The Director is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication and marketing initiatives that enhance the overall administrative journey required of current students to navigate while at UCR. This role focuses on creating and maintaining effective communication channels that support various aspects of financial aid, scholarships, registration and related processes, course articulation, summer sessions, and the Highlander One Stop Shop. The Director will ensure that all communication efforts are coordinated with other areas of campus such as VPDUE, VCSA, HWS as well as are aligned with the strategic priorities of Enrollment Services to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging that supports student success, retention, and satisfaction ultimately contributing to a positive and supportive environment for UCR students.
The salary range for this position is $100,100 - $190,500 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $100,100 - $122,700 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Strong knowledge of the campus / health system, including its mission, vision, achievements, infrastructure, products and services.
Strong knowledge of applicable University policies and state and federal laws regarding copyright and other licensing issues.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, content management systems, social media platforms, and data analytics.
Familiarity with the services and functions of Enrollment Services departments, such as the Registrar, Financial Aid, Summer Sessions, and Articulation Services. Experience working in a large, public research university Experience in brand management and creative direction within a higher education context. Strong market research, analytical, and problem recognition / avoidance / resolution skills. Strong knowledge of the location, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices and infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of current affairs, issues in higher education and/or health sciences, and/or specialized subject matter.
