The University of Tennessee, Haslam College of Business is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in its Department of Marketing beginning on August 1, 2026. The position’s primary instructional focus is professional selling and sales management, with the successful candidate demonstrating strong potential for excellence in this area. Experience or interest in teaching marketing strategy may be considered as a secondary qualification; however, it is not required and will not be a primary driver of the search. Additionally, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to service activities that support the department’s professional selling and sales initiatives and should thrive in an intellectually stimulating environment.
Assistant Professor of Practice
Required: Graduate degree in marketing, business, or related field completed as of the starting date of employment and extensive professional experience and accomplishments in the field.
Preferred: PhD degree in marketing, business, or related field completed as of the starting date of employment and relevant teaching experience.
Teaching Assistant Professor
Required: PhD degree in marketing, business, or related field completed as of the starting date of employment.
Preferred: Relevant teaching experience and/or business experience.
Lecturer
Graduate degree in marketing, business, or related field completed as of the starting date of employment.
Preferred: PhD degree in marketing, business, or related field completed as of the starting date of employment and relevant teaching and/or business experience.
